[...] One thing that’s amusing about running a website is that you can see phrases people are searching for before they visit your site. One bane of my existence is Paris Hilton. I wrote a short post about her a while back and still get hits on it via people searching for her, even though this blog is not about Paris Hilton and I have all kinds of content I’d rather see people reading.
[...] Technorati ranks this blog as 263,547, far higher than last I checked. According to Alexa, today Webomatica crossed over the 100,000 mark to 74,973. Webomatica.com has never been on the chart before (nothing under 100,000 is charted) so I was surprised to see that. If true, it’s all the fault of Paris Hilton, Apple Computer, and Battlestar Galactica.
[...] For the past two weeks, I’ve been posting more regularly in a shameless attempt to get more traffic to this blog and it’s worked out well. I was admittedly rather annoyed that my Paris Hilton entries were getting so much attention, so I decided to challenge myself and blow them off my traffic logs with Apple = Cat, PC = Dog.
[...] 1. Paris Hilton the Link Magnet. I guess I was asking for it when I posted a link to an article calling Paris Hilton the ultimate website.
