iTunes 7.0 Buggy?

September 16th, 2006

AppleSeems that many are having issues with iTunes 7.0. Here are some possible fixes. I’ve been exploring the program a bit more thoroughly and haven’t had any major problems.

CD ripping seems to be at the same speed as before, about 4-5X, this is AAC at 128.

I have a few albums that are missing cover art, and the get cover art from iTunes function doesn’t do anything. So in the meantime, I’d recommend Clutter which still seems to work with iTunes 7.0. I’m still a bit confused about how iTunes now stores the cover art in a folder rather than embedding the art in each individual MP3. I’m wondering if in the update process to 7.0, the art was ripped out of each file? I have to investigate this further.

My sound quality is same as before, no static.

iPod has been able to sync just fine. No random freezes.

My previously purchased iTunes songs work fine.

I think to test it out a bit further, I’ll buy a video and see how that works.
