MacBook RAM Success
Radio Shack had the thin Phillips #00 screwdriver, in a set for about 5 bucks. With the right tool, everything’s so much easier. Getting the screws out as well as the RAM was no big deal. I’d read in several places online that you really have to push the replacement RAM chips in there hard, almost to the point where you think you’ll break the machine. I wouldn’t say it was that extreme, but the chips do go in the MacBook farther than I thought they would.
So I’m now enjoying 1 GB of free memory. Nothing earth-shattering in the way to day to day performance, but I haven’t seen the spinning beach ball as much.
Now onto the next task, which is the installation of Windows XP.
