I was having the same problem, DI-614+ and Macbook Pro with all the latest updates (Jun ’07). Followed these instructions in the DI-614 advanced menus and everything is gravy now. Thanks!!

Yeah… I was kind of confused for a while too. I had no idea what the 4X mode in the DLink router did, anyhow!

Thank you so much for this information! I just moved to a MacBook from being a long time PC user and couldn’t figure out why PCs on my wireless network were zooming while the Internet connection on my MacBook was abysmal. This is a HUGE help!

Hi Neil, that’s cool. I’ve since upgraded my router to a Belkin, but I’m glad this older post is still applicable to folks with the Di-614+.

I hope the different settings work for you. There is something funky with the MacBook and router connections.

Thank you for your blog entry. I’m a Mcbook owner since 3 days and i’m very frustrated because of the same problems like you. I will try your advisory tomorrow and hope they will help to reduce the problems. I’m usind the same router like you.
