The long-awaited iBook/MacBook update may finally be happening next week Tuesday. This one is a long time coming, as there is no technical reason why it can’t be done. Faster Mac laptops with Intel exist and the Mac Mini and iMacs have already gone Intel, which are the desktop parallels to the iBook/MacBook. The only question is the price point. I pray Apple doesn’t decide to mess with the sub $1000 price point in order to take advantage of what will undoubtedly be a hot-selling product. The whole point of the consumer line is to be affordable, especially to students.
