Went to the Apple Store in downtown San Francisco after work. They have a pretty attention-grabbing window display for the iPod Hi-Fi that is a huge cracked window, emanating from the powerful sound of the speakers. The unit itself is smaller than I imagined, but not really something I’d pony up for. It’s pretty darned expensive for what it is.

Today I went on a bottle cap hunting spree which involved several seedy-looking grocery stores and driving in circles. But I got about seven new caps to add to the collection. The last stop was an unintentional visit to a hobby store, at which I picked up a snap-together model of the star ship Enterprise from Star Trek. It’s been a long time since I built a goofy plastic model complete with decals, and as such it was fun to get the project done.
