After several evenings and weekends of detailed, hard work on this site and Bottle Cap-O-Rama, things are getting easier. I now have a pretty streamlined work flow for getting bottle cap scans into the site, using Photoshop actions to help crop, rotate, and output several files to appropriate folders. The folders have equivalents on the site server, so it’s just a matter of uploading and then going to the Joomla admin to create the entry. I added 12 bottle caps to the site yesterday without too much difficulty.

The benefit of running the site came clear as there are now upwards of 200 entries, which were getting difficult to manage manually in the old site. The problem was that I had a discrepancy between the number of bottle caps I had processed and the number I had physically in my display case. The missing bottle cap was easier to track down with the Joomla interface, as you can sort by category.
